Building the Space Nation

Space is Australia’s next growth sector and one that promises to position us on the global stage. Deloitte’s Building the Space Nation campaign builds crucial connections in the sector and gives it a collective voice to uplift Australia’s space ecosystem and its citizens. Building the Space Nation considered the power of connection through collaboration with more than 60 local and international space leaders. Together, we’re helping define our space ecosystem and identifying opportunities to establish Australia as a world leader in the sector.

Our key creative inspiration was to consider and respect 65,000 years of Indigenous knowledge and storytelling of the stars. The report’s design focused on incorporating this cultural connection with the downstream technology of the space industry – as if to look at the earth from the sky – to show how innovations in space can create incredible opportunities on the ground. The design also focused on the nature of the sector and how its stakeholders, whether downstream or upstream, connect with one another to form a complex ecosystem. 

The release of the campaign received major media attention from Sky News, the Australian Space Agency and the Space Industry Association of Australia (SIAA), building invaluable eminence and a trusted brand voice in the space ecosystem.
